Compliance Monitoring and the Impact of H.R. 3221 Legislation

The SC State Housing’s Compliance Monitoring Department monitors developments that receive Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), State HOME funds, Housing Trust Funds (HTF), and Tax-Exempt Bonds. This session will discuss the impact of H.R. 3221 legislation on the affordable housing community, with specific interest on Low Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance.   

HUD Section 8 Contract Administration Program Update

The Contract Administration Program is responsible for the administration of much of HUD’s South Carolina portfolio. Contract Administrators work on behalf of HUD with owners and management agents who provide HUD subsidized apartments in privately owned complexes.  Participants in this session will gain an overview of information on Enterprise Income Verification (EIV), Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Emergency Contact, Students and other HUD policies and procedures. Join us to get the most up to date information and answers to your questions.

USDA - Rural Development Single Family Homeownership Guaranteed Program

The USDA Rural Development Single Family Guarantee Home Program provides loan guarantees to banks and other approved private lenders who assist eligible applicants in buying a home. In this time of mortgage unrest this exciting program increased lending to moderate income families in South Carolina over the last 12 months by 330 percent. Come and learn how to become an approved lender and how you as a customer can qualify for a program that requires no money down, no private mortgage insurance and has a lower credit score requirement.

USDA - Rural Development Multifamily Programs

A description of USDA Rural Development Direct and Guaranteed Loan Programs for the development and operation of Multifamily Housing and grants associated with related programs. Course materials will provide an overview of the funding, application and selection process. USDA Rural Development Multifamily mortgage programs will be described along with a discussion as to how they may be used as a credit enhancement for developing affordable housing.
