State Housing Online Site Expanded - 1/8/1998
The South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority now offers a stop on the information highway. The web site, www.sha.state.sc.us, will allow the Authority's constituents and customers to gain easy access to information and resources associated with the housing and finance industries.
The State Housing-launched web site was showcased at the 3rd annual South Carolina Housing Forum, held last month, according to the Authority's Board Chairman Rebecca K. Swindell. "The Web is an exciting way to communicate," she said, "and we're pleased that our agency has joined the ranks of Net users." Executive Director Dave Leopard agrees. "It's a real advantage to be able to communicate 24 hours a day, seven days a week," he said.
The State Housing Web site initially focused on providing information about the Authority's many affordable housing programs, but the site has recently been strengthened. Internet browsers may find general information about the Authority and its nine-member Board of Commissioners, as well as the agency's mission and strategic plan. Visitors to the site will also find a complete listing of staff by name, department, phone number, and e-mail address.
Other services such as current employment opportunities, recent news releases, and links to other housing-related agencies are also included.
