The definition of a home buyer in a targeted county is a borrower who does not own a home at the time of closing their new loan with SC State Housing.
Example: A borrower can close the sale of the home they currently own at 11 a.m. and close on their new South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority loan at 11:30 a.m. the same day.
If you are a first-time home buyer according to our definition, the next step is to check for income qualifications and house price limits. SC State Housing has three options for income, house prices and down payment assistance.
